Guidelines for 8th Semester Seminar

Please note the following guidelines for seminar
The presentation will be in the order of university register number
Time for presentation is 20 minutes for an individual student (15 min presentation + 5 minute discussion)
 Twelve students should be come prepared in a week for the seminar. If any one is absent on the scheduled date and time. The next students should take the seminar. The absence and the alternate arrangements of the seminar should be intimated to any of the coordinator two days in advance unless it is an emergency absence. Absence due to emergency reasons also should be informed to the coordinator
Topic can be any topic related to Computer Science and Engineering with supporting paper published in 2013-2014 in reputed journals/ conference proceedings
Your project guide will act as your seminar guide also
The selected topic and abstract should be submitted on or befor 19th December 2014

Last date for submission of presentation in PPT format is 31st December 2014


Last date for submission of report 16th February 2015


Report should be prepared in LaTex

For distribution of marks and credit alloted for the seminar refer the university syllabus

The seminar report should not be the reproduction of reference papers

All are requested to publish their papers in a conference/ journal before the termination day of the semester. Weightage in marks will be awarded for the publication 

Format for presentation (PPT)
The first slide should contain title of the seminar, name and university reg no of the student and name of the guide
second slide should be an outline (contents)
There is no particular format or template to be followed for other slides
there should be list of references slide at the end 


Format of Report
You  can follow the format of the previous batches
refer in department library for a sample copy


Format of abstract
Maximum of one A4 page. No particular format
below the abstract please note down the key terms/ key words also

Instructions for Accessing Online Homeworks

The online homeworks are hosted in the Gradiance Platform

For accessing the homework pls use this link

For First Time users please create New Account 

You need to provide unique userid, First Name, Last Name, Email address and a password only for creating an account
please provide name as in your college records as well give your correct email ids

Passwords should contain 10 characters. There should be compulsorily digits and alphabets

After successfully creating an account pls login with the unique id and password

In the Sign up for a new class please provide the Class Token

(Class token is mailed to your email id. If not received contact me directly)

and sign up then you will see PROGRAMERZZZ CS09604 DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS  in your classess. Then select it

Select the homeworks link
in that you can see the homework assigned.
Click the open homework link and attempt it

Maximum 2 Attempts are permitted per user
There are negative marking for incorrect result
Maximum mark will be taken for scoring
Submissions after due date is not allowed

You can view correct answers after due date
